Abby. Small Wonder was my high school best friend's COLLEGE RA. (She was apparently a very good sport about having been Small Wonder.) - J

O M G! That's like my friends who were in a sorority with Six from Blossom...but an even DEEPER cut. Incredible.

I don't think I properly expressed how much I'm DYING over this funnest of facts. I made an audible response when first reading it.

Kate & Allie is criminally culturally FORGOTTEN and was so important! Thanks for remembering Sisters - Sela Ward is one of my forever crushes. (My models show of choice was Paper Dolls.)

This was the most magnificent scroll down ever--it was ALL Gen X serotonin. I came for one specific show (which I'll get to in a moment, later on in the monologue), but I kept gasping over and over as you listed more of my absolute faves: Out of This World! 3 2 1 Contact and the Bloodhound Gang! Small Wonder! Rags to Riches, Just the 10 of Us, JEM! And of course, the CW prestige of Everwood and Jack & Bobby--where's THAT show's reboot??

But Sisters...oh y'all. Since they're clearly never bringing it to streaming, I broke down and bought all the DVDs. It's a show I started watching while babysitting--that kind of delicious, naughty fun but heartfelt adult show that my mom wouldn't have let me watch, but the Wendt or Cullen kids are asleep so let's goooo, Reed sisters!--and it was my everything. When Clooney showed up on ER, I explained to everyone who was within breathing distance of me that his real name was Falconer, thank you. Baby Ashley Judd and Paul freaking Rudd!! Kat's rape and the trial, Halsey's time in the cult (and how she came back evil with a new face in season 5), Alex's cancer, Frankie marrying her sister's ex (!!!)...this show is a legend. Though it's the Georgie storyline around her depression that made me into the kind of person who does a huge gush in the comments to try to convince anyone who sees this someday to give this ridiculous yet wonderful show a try...if it ever, ever comes on streaming.

Yay!!!! Falconer forever!!!!! (And ofc George on Facts of Life, Booker on Roseanne, and Bobby the cop who gets shot while doing the stakeout of the ladies' neighbors on Golden Girls)

I don't even have a DVD player anymore but it feels like I might need to get one and some box sets of stuff that never streams. I also love my Alias ones because all of the original music is there (some is gone from streaming).

I legit bought a DVD player just for Sisters--oh, and my boxed set of all twelve seasons of Murder, She Wrote (during the several years where it was nowhere to be found). JB Fletcher, balm to my soul.

I still have cable and love my channels with Murder, She Wrote reruns!!!!

I have so much to say about all of these but I was JUST thinking about the Cashmere Mafia/Lipstick Jungle showdown the other day. I remember there was so much promotion around both of them, and lots of FOB mag items, and then one of them got canceled midway through the first season and then the one with Brooke Shields went on to a second season (maybe a third? but I don't think so)

You need to come to the next awards show chat/freeforall over at DwB! They are great fun.

Just the 10 of us was one of my favorites.

Loved 3-2-1 Contact and randomly think of that theme song.

You brought back some memories with this list!!

I'm sure they're a delight but I haven't been in the mood to be that in the mix with awards shows lately, hence the not even watching! I love reading all of H + J's recaps afterward :)

Will never truly forgive Friends. They know what they did. #boilerroom4eva

I think you should blame the network execs on that...there's always room for many shows. ABC didn't know how to handle it and that's on them.

Oh, I know it is completely irrational and inaccurate. 😂

We don't want to wish for a world without Friends!

Very true! We wish for a world with shows for all! More shows and all the shows.
